Privacy

The collected data from the project submission and the group participation will get used and stored by the mentioned association to organise the Galaxy Game Jam, which includes the notification of winners and shipping/sending of information material about the Galaxy Game Jam, during and shortly after the event. You can withdraw this data use by contacting us via E-Mail or mail (see details above) at any time and without any statement of reasons. However, due to the missing data, participating at the Game Jam would not be possible any longer.

Terms and conditions

  1. The event is carried out by the International Catrobat Association, with headquarters in Graz, Austria (hereafter referred to as "Catrobat"), with the support of Samsung Electronics. Applicable law: Austria.
  2. Submissions to the event are possible until 31-12-2016 23:59 (AoE = UTC-12).
  3. Eligible are all natural persons aged 18 and over. Minors need the consent of a legal representative.
  4. Members of the Catrobat organization and team, of the Institute of Software Technology at Graz University of Technology, employees of Samsung, as well as their respective children and spouses or legal partners are excluded from receiving prizes.
  5. Participation consists of submitting a program created with Pocket Code around the "Galaxy" theme as well as submitting the filled-out entry form until the above mentioned submission deadline.
  6. Any personal information collected on the submission forms will be used for carrying out of the competition only. Catrobat reserves the right to exclude participants with incorrect or missing data.
  7. In selected countries, all submitted programs that adhere to the Galaxy theme will be eligible for winning prizes.
  8. The winners will be selected by the organizators randomly among all considered submissions in January 2017.
  9. Winners will be notified in January 2017 by Catrobat by E-Mail and must respond within 4 weeks to the notification. Winners that do not reply within this period will not be eligible for prizes after the period has ended, and any claims to the prizes will be forfeited.
  10. Redeeming the prizes in cash is not possible in any case.
  11. Legal recourse is excluded. There is no legal claim to participate.
  12. Catrobat may at any time, without prior notice and in its sole discretion, exclude and/or remove any submission and/or terminate a user's account if it is deemed to contradict the spirit and intention of the game jam.
  13. Participation is free of charge.
